Surfing in Australia
Australia's 37,000km coastline includes some of the world's premier surfing locations. Bells Beach in Victoria hosts the world's oldest surfing competition. Snapper Rocks in Queensland and the famous Superbank deliver legendary right-hand point breaks that attract professional surfers year round.
Hiking and Bushwalking
The 1,000km Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia traverses jarrah and karri forests from Perth to Albany over several weeks. The Overland Track in Tasmania's Cradle Mountain is considered one of the world's great multi-day walks with extraordinary wilderness scenery throughout.
Snorkelling and Diving
The Great Barrier Reef is the obvious centrepiece but Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia offers equally stunning coral in a far less crowded environment that many visitors prefer for its intimacy and pristine condition.
